PostSubject: Behram Dharmanu W.I.P.   Tue Aug 28, 2012 2:00 am

Name: Behram Dharmanu "Early Hermit"

Age: 18

Bounty: not-applicable

Species: Human

Occupation: martial artist

Home Village/Ocean: east blue

Appearance: Could describe or give a picture, or both

History: must be detailed

Personality: Behram is a deep-thinking man, though he tends to dwell on one thought while ignoring others. He seems to be aloof to people's feelings, but this is because of his tendency to ignore unnecessary emotions and his inability to perceive feelings based on body language or small changes in tone. Behram is spiritual though he doesn't believe in any particular god. He staunchly believes that everyone is connected as one being, however, that does not mean he refuses violence. Behram's second spiritual belief is that great, universal revelations will come from practicing and developing his martial form. He has begun acting as a hermit, by secluding himself from earthly luxuries (such as gambling, drinking, and fornication); however, unlike most hermits he has not actively tried to seclude himself from society or deny himself relationships with people (due to spiritual belief one). Behram rarely builds strong bonds with people, though he will defend the needy. He enjoys the prospect of adventure and has abandoned the concept of a permanent home. He is never unwilling to accept a challenge, though Behram does not jump to an easy win or a guaranteed loss. He is entirely intrinsically motivated; no outward incentive can push him to do something he does not want to. Behram sometimes appears distant to his friends because he is willing to oppose there decisions vocally, though he tends to speak with tact.
Behram does not have a favorite food or drink, and his only hobby beyond-travelling and fighting is the occasional musing or poetic waxing. He carries a personal journal with him which he updates daily about his life. This journal is kept hidden except for when he is writing in it and he is very protective of it. Behram values privacy and will defend his own, however, he doesn't try to alienated himself from others. If someone asked him what his journal was, he'd explain, though he still wouldn't show them it. This journal is Behram's prized physical possession. According to his moral beliefs, this journal is a tie to the material realm and a sin, however he is unwilling to relinquish it. Behram uses this book as a way to cope with the uncertainties and inexplicable occurrences of the world.
Behram's focus on meditation and practice of his martial forms has made him unfamiliar with the quirks of human interaction and the subtle hints at emotions; secretly he wishes he were more versed in the ways of communication and understanding emotions. Unfortunately for Behram, his spiritual wisdom and knack for logical thought do not compensate for his lack of emotional intelligence. Behram has never harbored romantic feelings for anyone, and sometimes flirtatious behavior can bother him, but he never shows it on his face.

Ship: name of ship

Ship Flag: non-applicable

Special Abilities: Life Return: Preta's Anguish (through meditation, it is possible to induce a state of consciousness where the body operates with a much lower temperature. This principle is the basis of Preta's Anguish, where Behram decreases his temperature greatly and making himself an incredible heat conductor. Preta's Anguish can, and in practice is, be turned on and off in an instance. This state of being allows Behram to drain the opponent's body heat on contact, inducing a level of fatigue and slowing them down. The heat taken can be converted into energy, but at a basic level Behram can only use this energy to fight on. The way this technique works, the opponent doesn't notice the effect actively until they've already suffered from the consequences.)

Learned Techniques (Keep it 1-25): Sword techniques, Devil fruit moves, rokushiki, anything special move wise

Weapons/Items: a small, book with a brown-leather cover. The words "My Perspective of Life" are embroidered across the front in gold thread.

Character Flaws: he refuses to use weaponry and has no ability to strike somebody who is farther away from him than his leg can reach.

Goals: determine if his revelation was true or false
