Name: Monty Finbreak

Age: 27.

Bounty: N/A.

Species: Fishman.

Occupation: Fighter. Underwater Navigator.

Allegiance: Pirates.

Home Village/ Ocean: Fishman Island, Grandline.

Appearance: Monty is a balloon fish fishman, he is yellow-green-broqnish colored and has very developed muscles. Spines cover all his body instead of hair, this spines are venomous. When Monty is relaxed the spines are lowered and harmless, except for the spines in the hands and in the feet which he can lower or straight as he likes. When Monty is stressed or at battle, he expands his body something like a balloon fish and the spines becomes straight and easy to get hurt with. He is 2 meters tall, wears short pants (he doesnt have any spikes in the pelvis area), he doesnt wear a t-shirt or shirt and he doesnt use any shoes neither. Monty has the tatoo of a black seagull in his left arm. The venom from his spikes paralizes the foe about 5 minutes after the wound has been made in an avarage man, the stronger or bigger the man the longer it takes to have effect, in giants the poison only has a local effect, the area that has been affected becomes painless. The poison makes the body start to feel in pain and causes struggles in the digestive system: diarrhea and vomits. He has orange-brown eyes, scales all over his body and has not many hair in the head. The spikes from his body can be broken and stil have some venom inside if they were broken in straight position, if they were relaxed no. When broken spines grow again. He has a scar in his right leg. He is inmune to his own venom.

History: Monty Finbreak was born in fishman island, there he was raised by his parents. When he was 9 he and his parents moved to the shabondy archipielago because his father got a work there as a shipwright, one year later he was walking by the most dangerous parts of the archipielago with his mom and dad when a group of tenryuubitos showed up and took his father as a slave. Monty started crying when he saw that the strange people were using his dad as a dog, a horse, making him do whatever they wanted and he attacked them by throwing them a rock. The tenryuubito turned around and asked who was responsible for hurting one of them, Monty's mom said she was the one that had done it and the tenryuubito killed her by cutting of her head in front of Monty and his dad. Monty started to cry loud and his father who was very mad started to attack the tenryuubito, "Run son, run" were his father last words before his head was cut off too by one of the tenryuubito's guards. Monty ran as much as he could and left the island on a boat, the people of the boat found out that he was there without them knowing and they threw him out of the boat near an island, he ended up in some island full of fighters and people of all kind: fishman, bounty hunters, pirates, marines, etc.

He walked through the streets looking for things to eat, until one day a fishman took him as an apprentice. The fishman taught him fishman karate and other fighting thecniques. In that island he fought lots of people that wanted to mess up with his mentor, his only friend; he became strong and learnt that he could use his spikes to fight too. One day, the marines came to the house he lived in with the other fishman. They claimed that his mentor was a criminal that had killed over 30 marines in a pirate raid years ago. The marines took the fishman in their ship and left Monty alone again. He decided that it was time to become a pirate, someone that could battle the world government and the marines. So he boarded a ship and ended up in the city of water 7.

In Water 7 he started to work as an underwater navigator for a company that builded ships in the city. He didnt have good luck finding a crew and he decided that he should wait calm until some pirates willing of taking him as a nakama got to the islands. He learnt to fight the thieves that tried to steal from the company's customers and was a strong fighter. He was fired from his job because he was fighting with everybody all the time. After joining the Steel Village pirates he was placed in the Fishman divison. He spent lots of time with them, visited Fishman Island and went on to the new world. But he decided he had to train for which he returned to Fishman Island and was training alone as well, getting an incredible control over his body and his strenght. He can focus his venom, he can manipulate water as if it was tangible with fishman karate.

Monty himself spends a lot of time by himself, away from his crew and usually only shows up for important assignments and threats to the crew because he considered himself to be in an unfinished training. The crew travelled to the New World and Monty decided to follow them for an important asignment. After completing his work in Punk Hazard, he decided to go back to training so that he could finish his training. He started to focus on controlling another characteristic of bein a balloon/pufferfish: Puffing. This possibly being considered a kind of Life Return, because it is an extended control over body parts, Monty didn't train it as Life Return, but just as a way to improve his fighting style. He managed to puff individual parts of his body to increase the damage he inflicted with physical attacks.

This training took place in an island of the New World near the entrance. Monty swam large distances until he found a tropical looking island which was just full of trees. But being a New World island... it couldn't be that easy. He discovered that the island was full of gigantic creatures that were half-mutated and that each of the beasts was as strong as some of the pirates in the first side of the Grandline. That was incredibly surprising for him, and it actually pushed him to develop his overall fighting, perfectioning his fishman karate, the focusing of his venom and his strenght in general. While he was in the island, he ate an IQ plant... which was another characteristic of the island. There were places in which IQ plants grew between the tallest trees, it was really weird. But after eating i, Monty's skin and outer part of the muscles gained steel like contexture, protecting him from most types of attacks. But not only that, his spines also turned into steel contexture, without loosing the ability to poison them. It was a really good improvement. He learned to combine this with his puffing to develop a defensive style as well. After finishing his training, he decided to go back to his crew.

Personality: Monty has a good heart but he cant see two people fighting without getting into the fight. He likes to take sides in discussions and is usually changing between the two points of view of the fight. When he is in the ship he is usually sleeping, training or having a fight but he likes the most to swim at the side of the boat, specially with other mermen and mermaids. He doesnt eat much, he eats only things that come from the sea and he likes his food almost raw. He cant stand marines and if he sees a guy of the world government he (the world government person) is in real danger if Monty happens to be in a bad mood. he has a great temper. Apart from the things from the sea he likes to drink bear and other alcoholic drinks, but he is not a drunk. Its difficult to get his trust, he doesnt trust anyone who he hasnt comproved to be worth of it. But, nevertheless, if he doesnt have any friend, he feels alone, he feels bad, he feels like crying.

Special abilities:

Advanced Fishman Karate

Poison Fighting - Monty can focus his poison in some spikes to hurl them to opponents or to keep them from poisoning people without actually wanting to.

Mature Poison Spikes - Any attack that involves his poisonous spikes will poison the foe if it hits, the poison takes 8 posts to effect the foe and paralyzes him for only 2 posts, but the poison burns the insides of the person and produces pain. (which lasts 2 posts of strong pain and then the poison fades away, only leaving the phantom of the pain, like when you recieve a hit, it keeps hurting after you take it. How long it keeps hurting depends on how strong the foe is and how is his/her resistance to pain) The after effects of the poison are vomits and diarrhea that come later, because the venom's waste end up in the digestive syste and mess up with it. Monty being already a mature merman, has the already ultimate form of his fishman venom. The burning inside the person doesnt leave internal wounds, the poison cant hurt organs more than irritating the tissues and blood vessels for a moment.

Immunity- Monty is immune to his own poison.

Waterborne - Monty's strenght and ability is greater in water.

IQ Enhancement: Steel Skin - After consuming an IQ Plant, Monty's skin turned to steel like contexture.

Learned Thecniques:

-Steel Potpourri . Monty breaks off spikes that have steel contexture and hurls them at foes, infusing them with poison as well. He can hurl them as direct currents of multiple spikes or individually.

-Devil's Barbed Armor. Monty focuses his energy to make the spikes in all of his body grow really big and since they have steel contexture they work as an armor. It hurts anyone that lands physical attacks on Monty.

-Demon Machinegun. Monty performs a series of punches into the air that send off a blast of multiple shockwaves that can hurt the opponent from a distance, he can launch un-poisoned spikes with the shockwaves as well. This can be use from a short distance as well.

-Delta Punch. Monty uses both of his hands to punch at the same time as he launches spikes at foes. The punches have the strenght of a Hyakumaigawara Seiken.

- Death's Horn. With Monty's extended control over his venom. He concentrates all the venom from his body in only one needle of any part of his body, which grows. The venom here is so concentrated that it is deadly, the attack is painful as it pierces he body and it can kill a foe if the poison is not treated in 15 posts. After this he looses the ability to use his poison for 5 posts.

-Tetsu Kikyū. The technique means Steel Balloon. Monty puffs his whole body into a big ball, that because of i's teel contexture is perfect for withstanding most attacks. He can also do this with individual body parts.

-Kikyū Blow. Monty extends his arm and puffs into a very big punch of steel contexture because of the IQ enhacement. He then attempts to punch an opponent with it, being incrediby damaging and even capable of destroying building walls.

-Uchimizu: Monty gets water in his hand and is able to shoot it as a water spear.

-Tsubushimasu Hone Keru. Monty kicks with such a strenght that he sends a shockwave towards his opponent, underwater, or with water around his feet, this technique sends a water shot that can break human bones. (the shockwave can break bones too)

-Water Torpedo.  Monty dives into the ocean, stop and starts to go up again. As he is swimming rapidly towards the surface he pulls water with both his arms and as he jumps out of the water he shoots it. It is an attack of great strenght, one of his strongest water based attacks.

-Gyojin Jujutsu: Mizugokoro (Fishman Way of Yielding: Water Heart): An underwater technique that Monty initiates by first performing a bowl-shaped gesture with his webbed hands (one hand over the other) while underwater right before giving the water itself around him a mighty yank. This allows Monty to physically grab and redirect currents as if he were manipulating cloth.


  • Kairyu Ipponzeoi . After using Mizugokoro, he heaves the current upward, where it erupts from the ocean surface as a towering stream of water.

  • Mizubomu. After using Mizugokoro, Monty drags currents of water towards himself and moves his hands around, concentrating them in a ball of concetrated currents that have a lot of water pressure. Then he pulls another current to shoot it out and when it hits something outside of the water it causes an explosion of water at great pressure.

  • Wareme Nagara (Current Crack). After using Mizugokoro, Monty pulls two currents,one with each hand and hurls really big steel like contexture spikes into them. Monty directs the currents towards an opponent or a group of opponent and makes the two currents hit each toher, which causes a splitting of various strong currents full of spikes that can it many opponents at a time and have tremendous strenght.


-Hyakumaigawara Seiken. A strong punch that can send an opponent flying.

-Senmaigawara Seiken. Monty concentrates a lot of strenght in a punch that can kill a normal human in one hit.

-Ultramarine. A technique borrowed from Merman Combat. Monty grabs currents wit his hands and hurls it forward in an extremely large and powerful torrent that blasts away his opponents with great force.

-Fugukousen Burittsu. (Blowfish War Blitz) Monty's ultimate Fishman Karate technique. Set under his balloonfish theme, this technique is similar to Murasame. Starting in a similar way as the Mizugokoro, Monty pulls currents to revolve around himself, building up tremendous strenght. While he does that, he puffs both of his hands and makes steel spikes to grow as if they were claws out of his fists. When he builds up the current he hurls the tremendous power together with a big group of poisonous spikes and the current itself takes the form of spears because of the building up with spikes. It's Monty's strongest technique.

Weapons: None. Melee fighter.

Goals: Destroy the world government and the marines.

Added the last two paragaphs to History, explaining how he got his IQ enhancement and how he completed almost all his training. With this, edited most techniques to fit the new advancements. Need re-approval please.
